Lunar Stew: Press
This is for the members of Lunar Stew.
"Lunar Stew performed at our annual 'Howl at the Moon' party.
They were original and energtic performers and played some of the best original and classic rock and roll tunes.
Everyone came to us and asked, where did you get this great band? Our friends and extended family just loved their music. We can't wait 'till next year for a repeat performance.
In two words, Their Great!!'

OLA!! OLA!!
Just a quick Note to say Howdy!!
Hey Geoffrey!!
I had to send you a quote contained in an email I received from a girl-friend of mine after I played the Lunar Stewdio Cosmic Sampler for her this weekend...and I quote:
>.....WOW!! Not what I expected.....very eclectic with their sound, eh? Trancey-funk.....spacey and >mellow.....groovin' & dancin'.....trippy (Project).....jazzy.....kinda folky. A little bit of everything!! I'm >impressed!!
Soooo...I'm tryin' to get the word around about you guys. So far everybody that hears it likes it!! Just thought I'd let you know!
I'm going to attempt to attend the next FMJ on the 25th so hopefully I'll see ya then!
Peace Daddy-O

Take a moment to imagine a trio: 3 accomplished artists in their own right-seasoned, split and ready to burn;performers that wanderlust between their own contagious original tunes and their classic songs with arrangements that will make you wonder why they had never been played that way before, and all the while stirring in their infectious humorous and topical tunes that sticks to your ribs. That’s Lunar Stew Trio.
Their performances soar over a terrain of some of the finest Rock, Blues and Afro-Caribbean Traditions this side of that orb that drives us crazy roughly once a month; rest assured, they can land anywhere.
Lunar Stew are timeless and endlessly innovative- the quixotic and quintessential rock band.

I would be honored to come and play, if you could make enough room for a Hammond Organ. Your sound is worthy of the effort required to haul a 300+ pound piece of equipment in to make some music. Think Pink Floyd.
I absolutely LOVE your CD and look forward to listening to it over and over. It lifted my spirits and turned me on in my car while driving home after seeing UB at Coolfont. I am very impressed. Great chemistry. Wonderful stuff. I am truly a dedicated fan now.
And I need chords to some of those hits you have on the album. Track
2, 3, 5, 6.......ALL SINGLES!! Terrific stuff! But especially 7...!
Sheryl Crow stuff!! I can hear the organ in there so much so that I can
"taste" it......I can even hear where the leslie should spin on tremelo
and where chorale should be. A lot of great backing by Hammond Organ
fits perfectly, and it is there already somehow......whoever did the
mixing did such an awesome job that it works, even without the organ.
Let's see, Track 3 has an element of Elizabeth Reed on your bass line,
and is just awesome. What a monster you are!
Track 5, another favorite, reminds me of a tune called "Venus"....and
sounds like Steely Dan as well.....impressive stuff!
Track 6, well Zappa all the way. Your vocal is profound and the bass
totally good, guitar is so tight......AHHH! can't believe it!

I saw you guys on September 22, 2007 in Hedgesville, WV at Robbie's (Woodstock) party. I am Shawna and Robbie's cousin from Maryland. I just wanted to say, man I loved you guys. I don't even listen to that type of music. I think you guys are great. I absolutely loved it. I hope to see you at the party again next year. You guys are awesome, stay together and keep up the great music. I have changed my music choices now, because of you. LOVED IT!
